Autism Life Link - What is Autism?

The Missing Link is YOU!

The Missing Link is YOU!

When we envisioned Autism Life Link, we wanted to create an online outlet for those with autism and their families so they could connect, share stories, and support each other. We wanted to create a community, sort of a Facebook for caretakers and autistic people from around the world to celebrate who they are and support each other during difficult times.

People all over the world, across all ethnicities are dealing with the same things you’re dealing with on a daily basis. Wouldn’t it be great if we could, from the comfort of our homes, chat and connect with families around the world, discuss our highs and lows, discoveries and accomplishments, and show your support for those who understand first hand what you’re going through?

What if we could use the power of social media to bring more awareness to autism spectrum disorder, more research, and more resources to improve our lives and the lives of others? What if, by communicating, helping, and listening to each other, we could impact the way the world views autism and those who care for autistic loved ones?

Those are the questions we considered when creating Autism Life Link. At this point, our vision is still a work in progress. The missing link is YOU. In order to make this vision become a reality, we need YOUR support in order to change the world. While we work on developing a community, we’d like you to spread the word about Autism Life Link and contribute your own stories and ideas on our Facebook page. “Light it up blue” by turning your social media profile pictures blue in support of Autism Awareness Month (April). Share this page with your friends and family to help them see how we, as a community, can increase autism awareness worldwide. Help us spread the word as we work hard to build a new platform for families coping with autism.
